Madonna Says President Obama Is a Muslim, For Some Reason

Madonna might the world’s only pro-Obama Birther.

During a break in her Washington D.C. tour stop Monday night, Madge gave a rousing speech in support of President Obama, drawing a historical line from the assassinations of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King to Obama’s election: “It is so amazing and incredible to think that we have an African-American in the White House, so those kind human beings did not die for nothing.” Then she urged people to vote for the President in November. So far so good, as far as pop stars’ political statements go.

But no, she went on: “We have a black Muslim in the White House, and that is some shit.”

Was Madonna making fun of Birthers? Is she a Birther herself? These are not the questions you want people to have to ask about you, Madge!
