A brief rundown of the things Lil Wayne says he does not remember in the surly deposition video making the rounds today:
Performing at the Virgin Mobile Music Fest in 2008.
Having the best-selling album of 2008.
Being arrested for gun possession in New York City.
Pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
Serving eight months in jail.
Winning a Grammy for Rap Album of the Year for Tha Carter III.
Being arrested on drug charges in Arizona.
A brief rundown of the things Lil Wayne says he does remember in the same video:
Being interviewed by Katie Couric.
Performing at the birthday party of an unidentified “bad-ass bitch.”
Being a “superstar.”
(Some background: Wayne is currently embroiled in a lawsuit against Quincy Jones III over what he (Wayne) says is unauthorized use of his music in a documentary Jones made about his life. As part of that suit, Weezy was deposed by Jones’ lawyer in the uncomfortable video you see above. We weren’t sure what to make of the terrifying moment when Wayne seemingly threatened Jones’ lawyer’s life, but if you can come up with an interpretation that doesn’t involve Wayne being a murderer feel free to tell it to us.)
