Let it burn. After five rounds of competition and millions and millions of votes, we finally have a winner in our Boy Band song tournament. The Jonas Brothers had to get through Hanson, Mindless Behavior, Backstreet Boys (twice!) and finally K-pop superstars Super Junior to do it, but their “Burnin’ Up” has now been voted by you guys to be the greatest Boy-Band Song of All-Time. “Burnin’ Up” took down Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry” in the finals, by a margin of about 77,000 votes, with nearly two million votes cast total.
“Burning Up” was the Jonas Brothers’ biggest hit upon its release in 2008, peaking at #5 on the pop charts and eventually being nominated for Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards. With the JoBros recently reuniting and planning for their first album in four years, their comeback is now complete with their victory over so many of the boy-band immortals in our Greatest Boy-Band Song tournament. Congratulations to them on their triumph—and to Brothers bodyguard Big Rob, whose show-stealing guest verse on the song guarantees his place in Boy-Band lore for all time.
